A 1951 Realart Re-release Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Dracula, the classic 1931 Tod Browning Universal vampire monster horror thriller ("The Greatest of all Horror Thrillers"; "The Vampire Thriller!"; "The story of the strangest passion the world has ever known!"; "Do vampires really exist?"; "From the famous novel & play by Bram Stoker") starring Bela Lugosi (in the title role as Count Dracula), David Manners, Helen Chandler, Dwight Frye (if there had been a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award in 1931, Frye would have surely won it for his wild over-the-top portrayal as Renfield!), Edward Van Sloan (as Professor Abraham Van Helsing), Frances Dade, and Herbert Bunston NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. paper loss in the lower part of the left blank border; stains in three corners; creases, smudges, and a few small tears (mended with tape from the back) around the edges of the card; a small circular stain in the shoulder strap of the woman at center; a 1" scratch in the middle of the left edge of the image; two pinholes to the right of the image (in solid areas); a few light water stains within the yellow letters of the title; the back of the card must have been mounted on to something at one time, as there are six areas of glue residue (one in each corner, and one each in the middle of the top and bottom border), and this glue likely caused the stains in the corner of the front. I think this great card is an excellent candidate for restoration. Its defects are primarily in the borders, and a talented restorer could greatly improve the appearance of this great card without putting hardly any paint anywhere within the image!
