An Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] REPRODUCTION Still (Learn More) Ken Maynard was one of the top cowboy actors from the 1920s to the 1940s. He was a First National star who switched to Columbia and became their biggest star next to Buck Jones, and he continued making B-westerns for studios such as Monogram. Some of his movies include: Heroes of the Range, Range Law, and Harmony Trail. Maynard appeared alongside his horse Tarzan in almost every one of his movies. He passed away in 1973 at the age of 77. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION still has been personally autographed (signed) by Ken Maynard (it was signed in 1966, and because he was giving it to Ken Jones, he wrote "One Ken To another, with our best")! Note that this item was consigned to us from the family of Ken Jones, who was an author of books about movies (including books about character actors and western stars). In the course of researching his books, he became friends with many Hollywood actors, and he would ask them to autograph stills for him (originals if he had them, or repros if he did not), and they obliged, usually returning the stills to him with a personalized inscription "To Ken". The family does not have a letter of authenticity for this signed item, but we feel certain it is authentic, given Mr. Jones' personal relationship with the star. Condition: very good.
