An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) His Double Life, the 1933 Arthur Hopkins romantic mistaken identity comedy ("She was the 'better half' of his double life"; "From the novel 'Buried Alive' and the play 'The Great Adventure' by Arnold Bennett"; a very convoluted story of a famous English artist who goes to an island to paint in seclusion, taking only his faithful valet; after 20 years, he learns he is to be knighted, and he reluctantly returns to England, but on the voyage home, his valet dies, and he sees a great opportunity to remain in seclusion, and he assumes his valet's identity, and passes off the dead valet as the famous artist!; many complications ensue when he discovers that his valet had proposed to a woman who HE is now expected to marry, but things go from bad to worse when he discovers the valet was already married, and his abandoned wife of 20 years ago angrily returns!) starring Lillian Gish, Roland Young, Montagu Love, Lumsden Hare, and Lucy Beaumont. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and minor fold and border wear. There was a diagonal crease in the "D" of "DOUBLE" in the title.
