An Original Vintage 7 1/4" x 9" [18 x 23 cm] Television Still (Learn More) Grindl, the 1963 - 1964 Charles Barton television (TV) comedy series starring Imogene Coca (in the title role as Grindl), James Millhollin, Dee J. Thompson, Frank De Vol, John Cliff, Bill Zuckert, and Jack Littlefield. Note that NBC had very high hopes for this show, which starred the very talented Imogene Coca (who had been on the Sid Caesar Show), especially because Hazel (starring Shirley Booth as a maid) had debuted in 1961, and was very successful. But the audience didn't warm to the wacky humor of this show (perhaps it was "ahead of its time"), and it only lasted one season before it was canceled.
