An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14") (Learn More)

Wolf of New York, the 1940 William C. McGann New York City Wall Street securities fraud lawyer legal crime murder melodrama (about a young attorney who makes lots of money defending people who commit security fraud, and getting them off on technicalities, but then a man is falsely executed partly due to how he defended a case, and the District Attorney resigns, and the young attorney takes his place and starts to clean up Wall Street, including all of his former "friends", and they don't like that at all!) starring Edmund Lowe, Rose Hobart, James Stephenson, Jerome Cowan, William Demarest, Andrew Tombes, and Ben Welden. Note that Republic Pictures had been a clearly minor studio in the 1930s, but in 1940, they made an attempt to make the jump to a major studio, by hiring better known actors and spending more money on their movies, but it was met with only mixed success.
