A Vintage Hardcover Book (measures 4 3/4" x 7 3/4" [12 x 20 cm]; 100 pages) (Learn More) Fox Date Book 1930-31, the 1931 exhibitor's date book which was sent by William Fox to theaters that showed their movies. Inserted between the dated pages are a number of ads for upcoming Fox movies, taken from their campaign book published that year. The ads are either full-page or half-page, and the highlight of the book is a full-page ad for "The Big Trail", starring John Wayne. There is also an ad for "Soup to Nuts", which top bills "Ted Healy and his gang", and of course, that was the very first movie that The Three Stooges were in, and at the time this date book was published, they weren't even stooges yet! There are other cool ads throughout the book (see our images for some of them). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this book! Also note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and several interior 2-page spreads. Condition: good to very good.
