He is best remembered for his starring roles in the two great 1950 religious epics Ben-Hur (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film) and The Ten Commandments, as well as scores of other movies including: Touch of Evil, Planet of the Apes, Hamlet, The Big Country, Tombstone, Three Musketeers, Soylent Green, Julius Caesar, and El Cid. Late in his life, he became head of the NRA, promoting gun rights. He passed away in 2008 at the age of 84. He had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, and died from pneumonia. Our consignor (who was a diplomat for the U.S. in exotic locations) obtained this autograph in person at the show when Mr. Heston directed this show in China Included inside of the program is the ticket stub from when our consignor attended the show. Also note that we have pictured the front cover, the back cover, and an interior 2-page spread from this program. Condition: good to very good. There are creases and scuffs on the cover.
