Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is one of 26 groups of lobby cards that we are auctioning in 26 different auctions. The cards were all found at the same time, and they are all from 1934 or 1935, and many of them are from extremely rare titles. HOWEVER, ALL ARE HEAVILY STAINED AND HAVE OTHER DEFECTS. But of course, any or all of them could be restored, but bear in mind their VERY significant condition defects before bidding on them. Note also that Columbia Pictures in the 1930s and 1940s would often give their major successes a full-scale second re-release a few years after the first release (in the case of this movie, four years later). They would either print the exact same posters from the original plates in full color, solely altering the copyright date, or, they would create brand new art different from that of the first release (which is true in this case), and they would put the re-release date in the bottom left copyright area, but without indicating that the poster was a re-release, which would cause the poster to years later be sold as first release, by people who did not check the original release date of the movie. The same was true of the lobby cards, where they would add the new copyright date to the bottom border. This IS a 1934 re-release lobby card for this movie! Condition: poor to fair. As noted above, these cards are stained and have other defects, as clearly seen in our super-sized images. THEY ARE IN URGENT NEED OF PROFESSIONAL RESTORATION. Bear this in mind before bidding on these cards. Learn More about condition grades
