A Vintage Autographed Hardcover Book (measures 5 3/4" x 8 1/2" [15 x 22 cm]; 240 pages) (Learn More) Andy Warhol was an artist from the 1950s to the 1980s. He was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art, founded Interview Magazine, was the author of numerous books, managed and produced the band Velvet Underground, and his studio, The Factory, was a famous gathering place for celebrities and artists. He passed away in 1987 at the age of 58. Warhol had had gallbladder issues, which he delayed getting treated as he was scared of hospitals and doctors. Because of a previous murder attempt, as well as his age, the 'routine' surgery had significant risks, and Warhol died in his sleep after suffering from an arrhythmia. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Andy Warhol on the first title page (see our image). Our consignor has no certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to be authentic.
