A Folded English Travel Poster (measures 40" x 50" [102 x 127 cm]) (Learn More)

Peterborough, the 1929 English train railroad travel poster ("Illustrated literature and other information from L-N-E-R Agencies") designed to encourage people to visit Peterborough, England via The London & North Eastern Railway. Note that this poster features Fred Taylor art of Cardinal Wolsey's Easter visit to the Peterborough Cathedral in 1530.
Artist: Fred Taylor
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: poor. As can be seen in our image, the poster is in much lesser condition. It has very significant creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths along parts of some edges (see our image) and the poster was torn in half horizontally. That tear and many others are repaired with tape from the back. The paper is quite fragile and the poster is difficult to handle without creating more possible damage. The poster is in urgent need of restoration, and certainly a competent restorer could repair the defects described above, but please bear in mind the cost of restoration before placing a bid.
