An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Blonde Venus, the classic 1932 Josef von Sternberg woman-sacrifices-all-including-her-integrity-for-her-sick-husband-who-turns-on-her romantic melodrama starring Marlene Dietrich, Herbert Marshall, Cary Grant, Gene Morgan, Dickie Moore, Francis Sayles, and Sidney Toler (in an early 9th billed role). Note that this was one of the seven movies that Dietrich made with director von Sternberg, and it is one of the best remembered, after "The Blue Angel" (which was the only one of the seven which was not a U.S. movie, because von Sternberg made it in Germany, in both languages). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is from an unusual blue lobby card set that was created for this major Paramount release. There was also a regular full-color set. Paramount made cards like this for a few movies at this time, and it may have been that those were sent to smaller theaters. They soon discontinued the practice, so these "blue" lobby cards are extremely rare! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. There are pinholes in the corners and a few tiny scuffs scattered in the card (see our image).
