Date Sold 4/24/2012 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 10 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) One Glorious Day, the 1922 James Cruze silent fantasy science fiction (sci-fi) supernatural comedy (based on the story by Barry Barringer; a wild story of a disembodied spirit who has been waiting to find a new body to inhabit, and he sees a boring professor who has figured out a way through meditation to temporarily leave his body, and while he does, the spirit inhabits it, and then he becomes a dashing virile man, and meanwhile, the professor's spirit is trying to find a way to regain his body!) starring Will Rogers, Lisa Lee, Alan Hale Sr., Johnny Fox, George Nichols, and Emily Rait. Note that Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle was originally intended to star in this film, but due to the rape allegations and death of Virginia Rappe, he was replaced by Rogers. Also note that this was the first film that Forrest J. Ackerman saw, and it certainly makes sense that it would cause him to become a lifelong fantasy/horror/sci-fi fan. It also is interesting that the plot of this movie greatly parallels an episode of The Twilight Zone, and we wonder if the writer of that episode also saw this movie! All of the stills have paper residue on the back where they were once attached to a mat, but it has next-to-no effect on the front, and the stills are otherwise in pretty nice condition!
