(Learn More) Uber alles in der Welt (released in English-speaking countries as "Above All in the World"), the 1941 Karl Ritter German World War II (WWII) Nazi propaganda military melodrama (the movie is on the conditional list because it glorified Nazi culture) starring Paul Hartmann, Hannes Stelzer, Fritz Kampers, Carl Raddatz, and Oskar Sima. Note that this is a "conditional" movie. This refers to around 40 movies that were made in Germany between 1933 and 1945, during the time the Nazis were in power in Germany. These movies are considered to be propaganda movies, which glorify the Nazi regime and their ideals. Immediately after World War II, a list of over 100 movies that were made between 1933 and 1945 was created, and those movies were not allowed to be shown at any time in Germany or Austria. Over the next decade, around 60 of those movies were taken off the list so that they are allowed to be shown (but rarely are), and those movies are known as "forbidden movies", because even though they can now be shown, they could not be shown at all in the years right after World War II. The remaining 40 or so movies (including this one) are known as "conditional" movies, because they are still not allowed to be shown in Germany or Austria, even in the present day, with the sole exception being when they are shown in an educational context, like at a university, and a speaker talks before and after the movie. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that included with the program is a 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" "Ross autograph card" that has a picture of Carl Raddatz on it. The programs came with four slits in the upper left of the front cover so that an "autograph card" could be inserted into that area, and this is in no way a defect (and actually it is quite rare to find the programs with the correct "autograph card" still attached!). Also note that this program was published by Das Programm von Heute (which was available via subscription of at the theater), a different type of program that is far more rare than the regularly seen German programs. The program has six pages, but it is printed on a large single sheet that is tri-folded (we have photographed both sides of the program completely unfolded). Condition: very good. As noted above, there is a Ross postcard inserted into the cover, which is not a defect (read what is above). Learn More about condition grades
