An Original (part of a film festival where "Live and Let Die" was shown) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) James Bond 007 Film Festival, the 1976 poster advertising a James Bond 007 Film Festival release. We would think that different posters were printed for each of the movies included in this festival (with each poster having the same image, but a different James Bond title). However, the only posters for this "film festival" that have surfaced are posters with "Live and Let Die" printed in the top left (once in the Spanish-language). This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). Note that we gave this condition grade to a very few posters that were in pretty good condition prior to linenbacking, but which were not all that well linenbacked, and which could be fairly easily re-backed with only minor additional restoration. The poster had tiny creases and fine surface paper loss on most foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this period). Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking.
