An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Mexican Movie Poster (measures 26 3/4" x 36 1/4" [68 x 92 cm]) (Learn More) Yo Soy Mexicano de Aca de Este Lado (literally translates to "I Am Mexican From Here on This Side"; also released as "Linda Mujer", which translates to "Cute Woman"), the 1952 Miguel Contreras Torres Mexican crime thriller (about a nightclub singer who falls in love with a wastrel, and they pretend to be married, and face the consequences) starring Rosa Carmina, Roberto Canedo, Rodolfo Acosta, Arturo Soto Rangel, and Dolores Camarillo. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this Mexican poster, which is a "country of origin" poster for this Mexican movie, and only one in the last 15 years! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had darkened somewhat, typical of Mexican posters of this period. It had small paper loss and some stains scattered down the left blank border, with a lesser amount in the top and right borders and some tiny bits of paper loss on small parts of some folds. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did little restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
