An Original Vintage Unfolded German Stage Play Poster (measures 23 1/4" x 33 1/4" [59 x 84 cm]) (Learn More) Alles Theater (literally translates to "Everything Theater"), the 1985 German poster promoting the stage play productions which took place at the Stadtische Buhnen in Osnabruck, Germany in 1985 and 1986. Note that this poster features collage art by Holger Matthies. Holger Matthies is a German graphic artist from the 1970s to the present. Over the course of more than four decades, he has designed more than 1000 posters, making him one of the world's most prolific poster artists. He is best known for his designs for theater and opera productions, exhibitions, concerts, and political satire shows. His portfolio is further swelled by social and political posters, cover designs for magazines and books, as well as numerous LP and CD covers. He has said that, "Posters should be like pocket knives - spring open, dissect and get under the skin." It was commissioned by German theater director Dr. Erdmut August who also created what may be the world's largest international theater poster archive with holdings of 16,000 different posters by many of the world's leading poster artists.
