4 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Backbone, the 1923 Edward Sloman silent romantic murder mystery crime melodrama ("with Alfred Lunt, Edith Roberts and the most distinguished cast ever assembled"; "It's a distinctive picture"; "Entertainment Artistry Entertainment"; "by Clarence Budington Kelland"; Roberts is the granddaughter of a wealthy man, and she returns from a trip and he is sick and she is not allowed to visit him, and Lunt emerges as someone possibly involved in foul play to the grandfather, and it turns out the grandfather is dead, but Lunt had nothing to do with it) starring Alfred Lunt (this was the very first movie made by the noted stage star!), Edith Roberts, William B. Mack, Frank Evans, and Major Doyle. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Important Added Info: Note that this is one of 19 complete and incomplete lobby card sets from silent movies that were recently discovered! All of the cards were used to hold sheet music, which was exactly one half the size of a lobby card. So the piano players at silent theaters would fold a lobby card in half and then use it as a holder for the sheet music, which was on thin paper! All of the cards in these 19 sets have been folded in half, and all have the name of a specific movie with some added instructions written on the back of the right half of the card, but the writing does not affect the front, and it is kind of a cool addition to each card!

Condition: very good. All of the cards have been folded in half . Some have some slight separation on the fold and some have some tiny paper loss at the top or bottom (see our image for a better sense of the exact condition of these cards). Other than these defects, the cards are in pretty nice condition, especially considering their age!
