Note that Dots Johnson was born Hylan Johnson and was a black African American actor who, along with most of the other actors in this movie, made his acting debut here. However, many of the other actors never appeared in other movies, but Johnson went on to appear in several notable movies including No Way Out and The Joe Louis Story. Also note that Italy had been devastated in World War II, and it was a major accomplishment for this movie to be filmed right after the war. It was released in September of 1946 at the Venice Film Festival, and then released throughout Italy in December of 1946. It did not open in France until September of 1947, and in the U.S. until March of 1948, with most other major countries having their first releases over the next two years. First release movie posters from this movie from ANY country are incredibly scarce. First release movie posters from Italy are virtually unknown! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good.
