An exquisite beauty of early silents, she married King Vidor in 1915, when he was a cameraman, and she subsequently became a major star, and he a major director; they divorced in 1924, and she married violinist Jascha Heifetz in 1928, which was when she appeared in a single talkie, "Chinatown Nights", and that experience caused her to retire, and become a wife and mother! Some of her movies include: The Marriage Circle, The Patriot, and The Jack-Knife Man. She passed away in 1977 at the age of 82. Important Added Info: Note that this is one of six similar special local theater stills, each of which are printed on a deluxe paper, with a gold coated stock on the front, and on the back it had ads for a specific theater, and also a tire company. We imagine these were passed out at both the theater and at the tire company. Other than these six, we have never auctioned any of these before! Condition: very good.
