An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Don Juan's Three Nights, the 1926 John Francis Dillon silent concert pianist romantic love triangle melodrama ("Adapted from the novel by Ludwig Biro"; a wild story set in an unnamed European country; about an aging concert pianist who has a reputation as a Romeo, but then a 16 year old girl falls in love with him, and he tries to get her interested in a suitable young man, but she insists she is in love, so he pretends to attack her at a party, and the young man challenges him to a duel, and he is wounded in the hand, and the young lovers are united, but the pianist can never play the piano again!) starring Lewis Stone, Shirley Mason, Malcolm McGregor, Myrtle Stedman, and Betty Francisco. Note that elements of this plot were reused in the slapstick comedy "The Bachelor and the Bobbysoxer" starring Cary Grant! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been folded! Some pre-1970 insert posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 insert posters (note that most post-1970 inserts were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those inserts). Note that this item needs to be shipped in an oversized flat package. Some of these items can ONLY be sent in flat packages, and could not possibly be rolled into a tube. On some of them (for example if it is a size that might ordinarily be rolled in a tube, like a half-sheet), the reason it is in this auction is specifically because we feel it either CAN'T be rolled or because we feel it would be a mistake to roll it, because it might well damage the item. In the case of the few items that could be rolled, we will roll the item in a tube if the new owner insists, but only if they accept that they can't return the item if it is damaged from being rolled. So please bear in mind that this item must be sent in a LARGE flat package (the size of the package will depend on the size of the item), and bear this added expense in mind before placing a bid on it. Condition: fair. The poster has many tears of varying lengths scattered throughout and some are quite large (and in some cases touched up with pencil - see our image.) It has creases, smudges and scuff marks scattered throughout and some other defects that can be clearly seen in our super-sized image. It is somewhat brittle and will need to be shipped in a flat package. Learn More about condition grades
