An Original 1951 (from the first release of this movie in France) Vintage Theatrical Folded French "Affiche" Movie Poster (23x32; measures 23 1/4" x 31 1/2" [59 x 80 cm]) (Learn More) Una Lettera All'Alba (released in the U.S. in 1951 as "Cocaine: The Thrill That Kills"), the 1948 Giorgio Bianchi Italian sexploitation drug melodrama ("Strips the Soul Bare"; "Inflames the senses"; "Bold. Revealing. True"; "This picture is a lesson for every teen-ager - and a warning for every parent!"; "This picture is definitely not recommended for children"; "Timely as today's headlines"; "Adult Entertainment"; "This picture will shock you..."; "No crime too vicious... no manhunt more intense... in the battle against the dealers of death!") starring Fosco Giachetti, Jacques Sernas, Tatyana Pavlova, Lea Padovani, and Margherita Bagni. Note that around 1951, a very clever distributor came up with the idea of releasing this movie under the lurid title of "Cocaine" in France and "Cocaine: The Thrill That Kills!" in the U.S. and featured a large image of a syringe (presumably filled with cocaine!). There have been a number of window cards found from this U.S. release, and they have often been mistakenly been sold as possibly being from the 1930s, but they are from around 1951, and are from the above 1948 re-titled Italian movie. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Duccio Marvasi Important Added Info: Note that until we were consigned this poster, we could not prove that the many U.S. window cards that were released with the "Cocaine" title were from this 1948 movie, and NOT from the 1930s movie as many dealers and auction houses try to claim. But this poster shows that the movie indeed WAS released under the "Cocaine" title in France, and obviously, it was released in the U.S. under that title as well! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good to fine. The poster has 1 1/2" of separation at the top of the vertical fold and very minor fold and border wear. Learn More about condition grades
