Against this turbulent background, Trane, a tall, lean, ex-Confederate Army officer comes face-to-face with Joe Erin, a hard-bitten leader of a gang of gunslingers. Both men have guns for hire - to the highest bidder!"; "The giants clash in the biggest spectacle of them all!"; "Screenplay by Roland Kibbee"; "Story by Borden Chase") starring Gary Cooper, Burt Lancaster, Denise Darcel, Cesar Romero, George MacReady, Ernest Borgnine, Sara Montiel (billed as "Introducing Sarita Montiel"), Charles Bronson, and Jack Elam NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had several areas of paper loss down the vertical foldline, including at each crossfold. There were many tears and areas of paper loss across the horizontal foldlines. There were pinholes, tears, and areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. The poster has had significant restoration, but it was nicely done, and I would think most collectors would be quite happy to display this poster on their wall! Learn More about condition grades
