A 1950 Re-Release Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Max (Alibi) Terhune was an actor from the 1930s to the 1950s. He was part of the Three Mesquiteers (as Lullaby Joslin). He was a ventriloquist who often performed ventriloquism in his movie appearances with his dummy, Elmer Sneezewood. Some of his movies include: Ride, Ranger, Ride, Manhattan Merry-Go-Round, Trail of the Silver Spurs, and Giant (uncredited, as Dr. Walker). He passed away in 1973 at the age of 82. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Max Terhune (he also signed an "X" for Elmer, his ventriloquist dummy, who is not in this scene)! Note that this item was consigned to us from the family of Ken Jones, who was an author of books about movies (including books about character actors and western stars). In the course of researching his books, he became friends with many Hollywood actors, and he would ask them to autograph stills for him (originals if he had them, or repros if he did not), and they obliged, usually returning the stills to him with a personalized inscription "To Ken". The family does not have a letter of authenticity for this signed item, but we feel certain it is authentic, given Mr. Jones' personal relationship with the star. Condition: very good to fine.
