A Special Poster (measures 9 1/2" x 17" [24 x 43 cm]) (Learn More)

Roar of the Crowd, the circa 1930s boxing sports documentary about Joe Louis ("His Rise, His Fall, His Comeback!"; "All the great Joe Louis fights in one picture!"; "Sensational movietone biography of the Million Dollar Fighter with the great ring celebrities"; "Thrill with the millions! Roar with the crowd") and featuring boxers from the time such as Carnera, Levinsky, Schmeling, Baer, Sharkey, Ettore, and Braddock. Note that the IMDb says this movie was made in 1953, but we think that is just plain wrong! We have seen both a window card and a herald, and they both look to be from the 1930s (plus the herald say "Now in talking pictures"), and the IMDb is often wrong on dates (and once they list it, lots of other places pick it up from there, so it doesn't mean much).

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this special poster is printed on a heavyweight paper stock like that used on window cards, but it measures 9 1/2" x 17".

Condition: very good. There is slight discoloration around the edges.
