An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Herald (measures 10 3/4" x 16 1/2" [27 x 42 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) So Big, the 1924 Charles Brabin epic romantic western biographical melodrama (based on the novel "by Edna Ferber"; showing the entire life of a young girl who is orphaned and must make her own way in the 19th century, and it follows her over 30 years) starring Colleen Moore, Joseph De Grasse, John Bowers, Ben Lyon, and Wallace Beery. Note that this movie was re-made in a sound version in 1932 starring Barbara Stanwyck, and this earlier silent version is virtually completely forgotten. Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this herald, and that was 15 years ago. That example has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still the only example we have ever auctioned! Note that we were recently consigned an excellent collection of heralds! We auctioned the first 30 of these in our April Major Auction, and all but four of those sold for between $2,012 and $110! Now we continue with another 40 heralds from this collection (in 40 separate auctions), and we will continue auctioning 40 of them every four weeks until they are all auctioned. There is only one of each herald, and many of them are quite rare, so if you don't purchase one, it may be many years before you see it at auction again! Condition: good. There are tape repairs on the front and back of the herald (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
