An Original Vintage Campaign Book (measures 10" x 12 1/2" [25 x 32 cm]; 32 pages) (Learn More)

Paramount Pictures for Spring and Summer 1924, the 1924 campaign book featuring images and information about upcoming releases for the 25 Paramount movies that were intended to be released in the spring and summer of 1924 including: Cecil B. DeMille's The Ten Commandments, Gloria Swanson in A Society Scandal and The Humming Bird, Pola Negri in Ernst Lubitsch's Montmartre, William S. Hart in Singer Jim McKee, Cecil B. DeMille's Triumph, and many more! All of the images are two-color, but many are quite striking and there are some great films included (see our images). Note that Paramount was so much the leading studio at this time, that it wasn't enough for them to solely do an annual yearbook, but they also did "update" books like this a couple times a year (in this case, they did one in the Spring and Summer, which was this one, and another later in the year).

Condition: good to very good. This was owned by a theater owner, and he wrote some pen notes on some pages, in some cases writing the revised title a movie was released under, and in some cases putting a pen mark in a background area for a film he did not rent. Of course, one would wish there was no pen writing, but this is an incredibly rare book!
