Artist: Luigi Martinati Important Added Info: Note that, due to the unusual border staining this poster has (see below), it MUST be sent by itself in a tube, because no one should have any other poster come in contact with the staining this poster has until it has been restored. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had small paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, tears, and tiny paper loss on parts of some folds. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. Unfortunately, the right edge of the poster came in contact with a liquid that stained it significantly in six evenly spaced areas. However, there was excess linen down that edge, and amazingly, five of the stained areas are solely in the excess linen, and the sixth only slightly touches the top of the right border. So any restorer or talented amateur could trim off the excess linen (either on the right side only or on all four sides), and then all that would need to be done would be to repair the stained area in the top right corner. This is still substantial, which is why we have only graded this "fair to good", but once it is accomplished, it will both jump to a "very good" grade, and also look great on the new owner's wall. But do not bid on this poster unless you can accept all of the above. Learn More about condition grades
