An Original Vintage Linenbacked World War II Poster (measures 25 1/2" x 38" [65 x 97 cm]) (Learn More)

Wings over America, the 1940 & 1941 U.S. World War II (WWII) military recruitment poster ("Air Corps U.S. Army") encouraging men to join, and featuring Tom Woodburn artwork of an eagle flying alongside U.S. war planes. This poster was printed at least twice, once in September of 1940 and once in November of 1941. Note that the United States Army Air Corps was the aerial warfare service component of the United States Army between 1926 and 1941.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the top crossfold and some tiny creases and tiny tears on parts of the folds, with pinholes in the corners and some smudges in the blank borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
