An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Half a Bride, the 1928 Gregory La Cava silent shipwreck tropical island romantic love triangle melodrama ("Based on Arthur Stringer's Story 'White Hands'"; about the daughter of a rich man who hears about the latest craze of "companionate marriage", and she impulsively marries someone she doesn't love, but before the marriage can be consummated, her father kidnaps her and takes her on his yacht; she escapes in a small boat, and the captain of the yacht, played by a young Gary Cooper, goes after her, and they end up castaways on a desert island, and naturally, they fall in love) starring Esther Ralston, Gary Cooper, William Worthington, Freeman Wood, and Mary Doran. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
