Morton; produced by Thomas Ince; like all William Hart movies, this has a very complicated plot about a man whose parents die and he becomes an outlaw because his parents' ranch was repossessed; he rescues a young woman who unknowingly is working for German spies, and he doesn't know either and falls in love with her; the U.S. joins World War I, and he wants to enlist, but a German spy who also wants the girl tells the Army that he was an outlaw, and he goes into hiding; but he finds the German spies and exposes them, and the charges against him are dropped, and he goes off to fight in France in World War I, and he promises his girlfriend he will marry her when he gets back) starring William S. Hart, Wanda Hawley, Charles Arling, Erich von Ritzau, and Bert Sprottegsa. Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
