An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Big Timber, the 1917 William Desmond Taylor silent lumberjack singing romantic love triangle melodrama ("By Bertrand W. Sinclair"; a convoluted story of a young girl who wants to be a singer but loses her voice and goes to work in her brother's lumberjack camp, and a wealthy owner gets her to marry him, but when their baby dies in childbirth, she leaves him, and her voice returns, and she becomes a successful opera singer, but when she hears that her husband's camp is on fire and he is facing complete ruin, she returns to him and offers her entire fortune to save him!) starring Kathlyn Williams, Wallace Reid (very early in his career, before he was top billed), Joe King, Alfred Paget, and Helen Bray. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good to fine.
