Date Sold 9/15/2020 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 2 Original Vintage Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) White Cargo, the 1942 Richard Thorpe British-in-Africa plantation romantic love triangle interracial romantic melodrama ("I Am Tondelayo!"; "From the stage play by Leon Gordon"; "Based on a novel by Ida Vera Simonton") starring Hedy Lamarr ("as Tondelayo"), Walter Pidgeon, Frank Morgan, Richard Carlson, Reginald Owen, and Henry O'Neill. Note that this was a notorious play from the 1920s that was toned down greatly for its Hollywood adaptation (most notably the title character was black in the original play, but became Egyptian/Arab in the movie). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good. The card pictured at top has a faint smudge at upper right and a tiny tear in the lower right blank border.
