An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Saturday's Children, the 1929 Gregory La Cava pre-Code romantic newlyweds marriage comedy (written by Maxwell Anderson; about a pair of poor young newlyweds who have trouble making ends meet together, and they spend all their time trying to pay their bills and arguing; so the wife leaves him, not because she doesn't love him, but because they were both much happier before they married!; he goes to her and asks her to return and she says that she would rather have a lover than a husband, and he starts sneaking into her boarding house room at night via the fire escape, and they are both much happier!) starring Corinne Griffith, Grant Withers, Albert Conti, Alma Tell, and Lucien Littlefield. Note that this was a very daring movie for its day, and that it was based on a Broadway play that starred Humphrey Bogart and Ruth Gordon, and it was remade in 1940 with John Garfield and Anne Shirley in the lead roles.
