An Undated (probably 1930s) Re-release Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Smilin' Through, the 1932 Sidney Franklin romantic love triangle melodrama ("From the play by Allen L. Martin"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; a pretty wacky story of a man whose fiancee was killed by her insanely jealous ex-boyfriend on their wedding day, and years later, the man is now in charge of his niece, who looks exactly like his fiancee, and she is engaged to marry a man who looks exactly like the man who killed his fiancee, and naturally, he does all he can to break them up!) starring Norma Shearer (in a dual role), Fredric March (in a dual role), Leslie Howard, O.P. Heggie, Ralph Forbes, and Beryl Mercer NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. Otherwise, the glass slide itself is in nice condition and the cardboard holder has some minor smudges (as can be seen in our super-sized images). Learn More about condition grades
