An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Attack of the Fifty Foot Woman, the 1958 Nathan Juran (billed as "Nathan Hertz") science fiction (sci-fi) giant female monster horror thriller starring Allison Hayes (in the title role as the 50 foot woman), William Hudson, Yvette Vickers, Roy Gordon, George Douglas, and Otto Waldis. Note that the posters for this movie have wonderful Reynold Brown artwork of a giant scantily clad woman standing over a highway, and it is rightly regarded as one of the finest poster images of the 1950s. One wishes one could say the same about the movie itself, but alas, that is not true! But the poster for this movie is surely one of the most memorable ever created! Artist: Reynold Brown Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. The poster was displayed on someone's wall in the 1960s, and prior to displaying it, he put clear tape on the back of all the foldlines and also put pieces of clear tape on the back of many parts of the borders, with some pieces of clear tape on the front of the borders as well. He did this so the poster would hold up while it was displayed on the wall, and it obviously worked, because it is here today decades later! Prior to his putting the tape on the poster, it had many pinholes, stains, and some tiny areas of paper loss in the blank borders and tiny paper loss at the crossfolds, and some tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some foldlines. There was a faint brown vertical water stain beginning at the top of the left of the car in the girl's hand and running down vertically to just to the right of Vickers' credit (you can see the stain clearly in our super-sized image). The entire poster has some smudges and faint stains scattered throughout, with some scattered small stains in the yellow background area at middle left. The entire poster has darkened a little bit. Certainly, much has changed since the 1960s when this was a poster worth a few dollars, and it could be tacked directly to a wall! If I owned this incredible iconic poster, I would surely send it to the best restorer I could find, and have the tape removed and proper restoration performed. Afterwards, the poster will look fantastic, and it will not require much paint restoration anywhere in the image! Learn More about condition grades
