(Learn More) Gwen Verdon was primarily a stage actress from the 1950s to the 2000s. She is certainly best remembered for her role as Lola in Damn Yankees (both the stage and screen versions)! She was married to Bob Fosse and retired for six years to raise their daughter, but she came out of retirement to star in his stage production of Sweet Charity. Verdon passed away in 2000 at the age of 75. Important Added Info: This cut magazine page (which was glued to the lower left of the album cover; see our image) has been personally autographed (signed) by Gwen Verdon! Our consignor is a dealer who has acquired many autographed items over many decades. He enjoys finding an item with a good image of that star to "pair" it with, so that the owner can frame the signed item together with the item with the good image. Included with the signed item is a 1958 "Damn Yankees" soundtrack record album. The items could be matted together to create a cool display! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: good to very good. The signed cut magazine page was glued to the lower left of the album cover, with glue on the back of the top half of the image.
