An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Danish Movie Poster (measures approximately 24" x 32") (Learn More) Death Rides the Plains, the 1943 Sam Newfield cowboy western starring Robert Livingston (billed as "Bob Livingston", as The Lone Rider), Al 'Fuzzy' St. John, Patti McCarthy, Ray Bennett, I. Stanford Jolley, and Kermit Maynard. Note that this was one of a popular series of movies all starring this character. They began in 1941, and the character has tremendous similarities to The Lone Ranger (including a mask, white hat, and white horse!), but in this, he starts out by chasing the outlaws who killed his parents, not his comrades. This had been a plot used in westerns since the silent days, which is likely why The Lone Ranger people could not sue PRC for making this series! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Poul Kerring Important Added Info: This Danish poster measures approximately 24" x 32". Condition: very good to fine. The poster had minor wear on the foldlines and some minor border defects. There was a censor stamp in the top left and a distributor stamp in the bottom right. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking.
