An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) In Old Oklahoma, the 1943 Albert S. Rogell oil drilling cowboy western ("Where men were wildcatters and fought like wildcats..."; "The Earth Explodes! As untamed men clash for power and a woman!"; "Wildcatters... Men who could lick their weight in wildcats... And did!"; "Glorifying the romantic pioneer spirit of America"; "Based on Thomson Burtis' Story 'War of the Wildcats'") starring John Wayne, Martha Scott, Albert Dekker, George 'Gabby' Hayes, Marjorie Rambeau, Dale Evans (before she was married to Roy Rogers!), Grant Withers, Yakima Canutt, and Sidney Blackmer (as Teddy Roosevelt; he portrayed Teddy Roosevelt in multiple films!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). See below for this poster's pre-restoration condition (we are the only major auction company we know of that shares this information with our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). good. The poster had a quarter-sized hole at the top crossfold and had a slightly larger hole at the middle crossfold and a dime-sized hole at the bottom crossfold. There was a 2" area of paper loss in the top left corner ending just at the "G". There were extra folds alongside the regular folds and there were creases, small tears, and some paper loss along some of the foldlines. There was paper loss in the area between the title and the words "A REPUBLIC PICTURE". The poster was nicely restored, and while you can see some signs of the restoration even from a distance, it is really not very distracting. Learn More about condition grades
