An Original 1985 Vintage Theatrical Unfolded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Emanuelle Fuga Dall'Inferno (released in the U.S. in 1985 as "Women's Prison Massacre"), the 1983 Bruno Mattei (billed as "Gilbert Roussel") Italian/French prison sexploitation crime thriller ("The killing never stops...") starring Laura Gemser (in the title role as Emanuelle), Gabriel Tinti, Ursula Flores, Maria Romano, and Antonella Giacomini. Note that the first of the "Emanuelle" series of movies came out in 1969, and it was a big hit in the U.S. and all over the world. But by the time of this 16 years later entry in the series, the sales value of an "Emanuelle" movie in the U.S. had diminished so much to where there was no mention of Emanuelle anywhere on the U.S. poster, and the movie was re-titled "Women's Prison Massacre"! Finally, note that after the success of the 1974 film Emmanuelle, many authorized sequels were created. The success also spawned many "knock-off" Emmanuelle films, which included the name Emmanuelle or its variants in their titles for exploitative reasons, but were not connected to the original series.
