Date Sold 11/26/2020Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 4 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Mama Behave, the 1926 Leo McCarey silent romantic marriage impersonation screwball comedy short ("Where a wife mistakes her husband for his twin brother, almost anything can happen, and usually does."; produced by Hal Roach; about a wife that wants her husband to be more like his twin brother, so he impersonates his twin in order to see if his wife is unfaithful to him!) starring Charley Chase (primarily remembered as a great silent comedian who appeared in 276 movies, most of them comedy shorts, Chase also directed 140 comedy shorts; in a dual role as twins!), Mildred Harris (at one time married to Charlie Chaplin), Vivien Oakland, Syd Crossley, and Rolfey Sedan. Note that director Leo McCarey, who had directed some thirty comedy shorts in 1924 and 1925 prior to this one, would later go on to much bigger successes, including the classic "Going My Way"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this film is incredibly rare. We have only auctioned two stills from it and no other movie paper items until we were consigned these lobby cards! Condition: very good. Each has a tiny bit of pencil writing in the upper right blank corner only, but otherwise the very rare cards are in pretty nice condition and they have no tape whatsoever on the front or back, and they never have had any restoration of any kind!
