An Original Vintage Campaign Book (measures 9 1/4" x 12 1/4" [23 x 31 cm]; 44 pages) (Learn More) FBO 1926-27 (Film Booking Offices of America), the 1926 campaign book featuring images and information about upcoming F.B.O. movies for the 1925-26 season including: Tarzan and the Golden Lion, Kosher Kitty Kelly, Bigger Than Barnum's, four Fred Thomson westerns, Ranger ("The New Blue Ribbon Dog Star"), Bob Custer, Tom Tyler, 26 Krazy Kat cartoons from M.J. Winkler, 26 Walt Disney Alice comedies from M.J. Winkler, and many, many more! Note that a all of the images are two-color (see our many images). Of course, the highlight of this volume is the great 2-page ad for Tarzan and the Golden Lion (with wonderful art) and the full-page ads for the Walt Disney Alice comedies and the Krazy Kat cartoons. All campaign books of this period are extremely rare, but this one is even more so, since the only example of it we have ever auctioned has no covers. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that, as noted above, this is the only example of this book we have ever auctioned. It is missing its covers, but we once auctioned a 1925-26 book, and that one had a blank white cover with a textured stock, so there is a good chance that the missing covers of this were solely blank as well (but of course, that might not be true). Obviously, one would prefer to find an example with covers, but that might take many years! Condition: good. The covers are missing (see above). There is a glassine sheet before the first page and after the last page, and both have some creases and tears. Otherwise, the book is in pretty good condition (see our images).
