An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 10 3/4" x 13 3/4" [27 x 35 cm]) (Learn More) The Gentle Cyclone, the 1926 W.S. Van Dyke silent cowboy western ("A daredevil who wanted peace & willingly fought for it"; "Based on the story 'Peg Leg and the Kidnapper' by Frank R. Buckley") starring Buck Jones, Rose Blossom, Will Walling, Reed Howes, Stanton Heck, and Oliver Hardy (as Sheriff Bill). Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been trimmed and it now measures 10 3/4" x 13 3/4" [27 x 35 cm]. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. Approximately 1/4" was trimmed from the top and right blank borders. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition.
