Avildsen (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) Philadelphia Pennsylvania boxing sports action romantic melodrama ("His whole life was a million-to-one shot."; "Written by Sylvester Stallone"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award; produced by Irwin Winkler) starring Sylvester Stallone (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; in the title role as Rocky Balboa), Talia Shire (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film; as Adrian), Burt Young (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Carl Weathers (as Apollo Creed), Burgess Meredith (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; "as Mickey"), and Butkus Stallone (as Butkus the dog!). Note this film was released late in 1976 and all of the first release U.S. posters have a 1977 NSS number on them.

Condition: good. The poster was never folded. It has faint, spotty discoloration scattered in various areas throughout (slightly more concentrated along portions of the lower edge) and there is a patch of slight discoloration at upper left. Fortunately the discoloration is quite faint and the poster is otherwise pretty displayable as is, and after some restoration it would look great (but bear in mind the defect, see our super-sized image, and bear in mind the cost of restoration before placing a bid.).
