An Original Vintage 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" [17 x 22 cm] News Photo (Learn More)

Mary Philbin was an actress from the 1920s. She had lead roles in two of the best remembered silent horror movies: The Man Who Laughs, and The Phantom of the Opera! Some of her other movies include: Twelve Hours to Live, The Temple of Venus, and After the Fog. Mary passed away in 1993 at the age of 90.
Important Added Info: Note that Viennese Ernest Linnekamp came to New York in 1924 with the assignment of painting "America's prettiest fifteen" (the fifteen most beautiful women in America) to be published in a book. One of these was Mary Philbin. We don't know if the book was published. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that this news photo measures 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" [17 x 22 cm].

Condition: good to very good. There are some creases scattered in the news photo and some tiny dot stains in the top background areas.
