Artist: Ahrie Important Added Info: The poster was placed on to a very thin linen backing shortly after being printed. The purpose was to reinforce the poster, so that it would survive, when it was passed from theater to theater, and when it was put up on walls and taken down. Such posters can be professionally removed from the original linen and placed on to a proper linen backing. I have done this to several such posters, and they end up looking wonderful! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. The poster has been backed onto a thin linen shortly after being printed . There is a snipe over the title area at lower right that has been painted over and overprinted with the Danish title. There is a censor stamp at upper right in the man's collar. There are some pin holes and areas of tattering around the edges of the poster. There are minor creases, smudges, and scuffs scattered throughout the poster (more so around the edges). The poster is otherwise in generally nice condition and if one chose to have it restored it could be removed from the old linen backing and properly backed and restored and it would look wonderful!
