Murder."; "The tree of knowledge for Newt Winger."; "Warner Bros.-Seven Arts presents A film by Gordon Parks based on his novel.") starring Kyle Johnson, Alex Clarke, Estelle Evans, Dana Elcar, Mira Waters, Joel Fluellen, Malcolm Atterbury, and Don Dubbins. Note that film historians consider this movie to be the first studio-financed Hollywood movie to be made by an African American director!
