A 1949 Re-Release Theatrical Movie Lobby Card #4 (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Edgar Allan Poe's The Raven, the classic 1935 Lew Landers (billed as "Louis Friedlander") Universal horror thriller ("An adaption of Edgar Allen Poe's The Raven"; VERY loosely based on the famous poem by Edgar Allan Poe; about a crazy plastic surgeon who saves a girl's life, but is rejected by her so he mutilates the face of a criminal to have him kidnap the girl after which he promises to restore the criminal's face!) starring Boris Karloff ("The uncanny master of make-up in a new amazing shocker"), Bela Lugosi (billed as "Bela 'Dracula' Lugosi"), Irene Ware, Lester Matthews, Inez Courtney, Samuel S. Hinds, Ian Wolfe, Spencer Charters, Maidel Turner, and Arthur Hoyt NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this 1949 re-release lobby card, and that was 5 years ago! Note that this card was printed with an NSS number of "48/1057". It was stamped over that area with "48/1051", which seems likely to have been a changed NSS number. This is an original 1949 re-release card and there was some kind of mix up on the NSS number that caused this to happen. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. There is a corrective NSS stamp over the original NSS number (see above for more about this). Otherwise, the card only has a tiny pair of staple holes in the top left corner. It is in really excellent condition! Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
