Date Sold 8/6/2013Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 7" x 9 1/4" [18 x 23 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Stewart Granger was an English actor from the 1930s to the 1980s. Some of his movies include: Scaramouche, North to Alaska and The Last Hunt. He was born "James Stewart", but that name had already been taken (just a few years before, by the famous American actor), so he had to use a different name, and he chose "Stewart Granger"! AND Deborah Kerr (rhymes with 'star'!) was a Scottish actress from the 1940s to the 1980s. She had a quick rise to stardom in England in the early 1940s, and was in many movies there. She went to Hollywood in the early 1950s, and had some of her greatest successes during that decade, unusual at that time for an actress in her 30s (but she had aged REALLY well!). Some of her movies include: Edward My Son (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), An Affair to Remember, The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp, Black Narcissus, From Here To Eternity (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), The Innocents, Separate Tables (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Sundowners (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Heaven Knows Mr. Allison (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), King Solomon's Mines, and King and I (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film) Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by BOTH Stewart Granger AND Deborah Kerr! Also note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 7" x 9 1/4" [18 x 23 cm]. Our consignor is a very longtime collector of movie paper who purchased this item years ago, and it was signed, but he doesn't know how the signature was obtained, and he (and we) believe it is likely that the autograph is authentic. Condition: good to very good. The still was neatly trimmed around the edges, but it is otherwise in nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
