Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Tele-Topics Pro Football Thrills, the 1953 Burton B. Jerrel football sports movie ("GAME TODAY"; "'Hot' from the nation's leading gridirons!"; "50 yard line seats for all the complete play-by-play highlight action!") narrated by Dick Nesbitt. Note that this was a stock poster, with a blank rectangle in the lower right, where theaters would get a printed sheet to glue into that area with the specifics of the game being shown in the theater that night (note the "now showing" red arrow to the left of the box). This particular poster has the printed paper snipe still attached (we have had several copies of this poster before and all but one had no snipe attached). The snipe on this poster tells that this night the theater was showing a game between the Cleveland Browns and the San Francisco Forty-Niners! If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This poster has been professionally linenbacked. It now looks great, and most dealers would describe it as "fine (or mint) on linen". We have noted the defects that were restored below (and feel everyone should always do this!). Many collectors would not be aware of the restoration this poster has had unless it was specifically shown to them! Condition: fine. The poster was in excellent condition prior to linenbacking, as was the snipe. It has had minor restoration on the foldlines and in the white background areas.. Most of the linenbacked posters we sell were restored by the finest professionals. An expertly linenbacked poster will often appear "mint", as its defects have been made to "vanish". We are the only seller we are aware of who always tries to describe the condition of the poster prior to being linenbacked, so you are fully aware of what restoration was performed.
