Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded 30x40 (Learn More) Tootsie, the classic 1982 Sydney Pollack (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) cross-dressing television (TV) soap opera actor comedy ("What do you get when you cross a hopelessly straight, starving actor with a dynamite red sequined dress?"; "You get America's hottest new actress."; "Now everybody knows that she's Dustin Hoffman and he's Tootsie."; "This is a hell of a way to make a living."; "Little did this desperate, out of work actor know when he secretly auditioned for a female role that he'd become the hottest star on television. Not even the girl he's madly in love with knows that he's Tootsie."; "Desperate, he took a female role and became a star"; "If only he could tell the woman he loves."; "This Christmas everyone will know that she's Dustin Hoffman...and he's Tootsie"; "Story by Don McGuire and Larry Gelbart"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Dustin Hoffman (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; in the title role), Jessica Lange (winner of the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Teri Garr (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Dabney Coleman, Charles Durning, Bill Murray, Sydney Pollack, George Gaynes, and Geena Davis NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This poster was never folded after it was printed (this is called unfolded or "rolled")! Note that this is a rare advance one-sheet (note the "This Christmas everyone will know that she's Dustin Hoffman and he's Tootsie" at the bottom of the poster). Condition: fine. There are a few faint minor creases in the blank borders.. NOTE: This 30x40, plus several others that eMoviePoster is selling this week came from a most extraordinary collection. They were purchased by a collector when these films were issued and have been carefully stored under ideal conditions ever since! The result is that these posters are as near to perfect as any 30x40s we have ever sold (or just about any movie posters for that matter!)! If you purchase any of these, you will see that they truly look as though they might have just been printed (although each may have a few minute defects, which you would have to pore over the poster to find). Just finding these titles in a 30x40 size might take years, as they are far more rare than the corresponding one-sheet. To find them in this condition might take one the rest of their life! In the past few months we have sold other 30x40s (and 40x60s, one-sheets, inserts, and lobby card sets) for this collector, and they have sold for far more than they usually do in lesser condition, as collectors have correctly realized that this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
